The present invention is capable of rapidly plasticizing the polymer, 255-345 g. at least one 1,4: 3,6-dianhydrohexitol ester (A) having a molar mass in the range of mol-1 and selected from isosorbide, isomannide and mono- and diesters of isoidide 0.1-99 mass% with respect to the total mass of (A) and (B), 345 g. at least one selected from the group consisting of an ester of 1,4: 3,6-dianhydrohexitol, an ester of cyclohexanepolycarboxylic acid, an ester of phthalic acid, and a glycerol ester. The present invention relates to a composition comprising 1% to 99.9% by mass of compound (B) based on the total mass of (A) and (B). The invention also relates to a process for the production of plasticized articles using components (A) and (B) and also to the use of the ester compound (A) as a polymer gelling accelerator.
