PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hunting dog selection support system and a hunting dog selection support method which continuously monitor movements of hunting dogs and support selection of an optimal hunting dog according to a purpose of the hunting.;SOLUTION: A hunting dog selection support system comprises: a GPS reception device; a portable terminal which acquires first position information about positions of hunting dogs, and acquires second position information about a position of its own device; and a management device which analyzes and stores types of the hunting dogs. The portable terminal transmits the first position information and the second position information in association with time stamps to the management device. The management device receives the first position information and the second position information, estimates activity areas of the hunting dogs on the basis of the first position information and the second position information, and estimates averages of moving speed of the respective hunting dogs on the basis of the first position information.
