PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of executing a cardiac sound data analysis for discrimination of a cardiac disease in a simplified configuration and performing assessment of the cardiac disease progress and cardiac function in a convenient configuration.;SOLUTION: An auscultatory cardiac sound signal processing method comprises: generating feature value waveforms in a time area and feature value waveforms in a frequency range, under model parameters set from cardiac sound data; calculating from the waveforms heartbeat intervals (T11), intervals between first sounds and second sounds (T12), frequency range widths (FW), and center frequencies (FG), as cardiac sound feature value parameters; determining the boundaries surrounding a distribution area of the cardiac sound feature value parameters; and approximating the boundaries to an ellipse and determining ellipse parameters (xc, yc, a, b, θ). The auscultatory cardiac sound signal processing method further includes: accumulating, as a database, ellipse parameters determined with respect to a variety of obtained cardiac sound data; processing the cardiac sound feature parameters of cardiac sound data collected for discrimination of a cardiac disease by using the ellipse parameters in the database; and discriminating the cardiac disease by using a determination formula.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
