PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a stroke in a plateau region when an impact load is added, while maintaining support stiffness of an impact energy absorber.;SOLUTION: A composite structure 1 of the impact energy absorber is provided, including a first impact energy absorber 2 and a second impact energy absorber 4. The first impact energy absorber 2 is an assembly of a plurality of hollow metal spheres 3 formed into a substantially cylindrical shape by adhering or joining adjacent hollow metal spheres 3. The second impact energy absorber 4 includes a metal bulk body 5 having a plurality of void paces and a metal cylindrical body 6 covering an outer circumference face of the metal bulk body 5. The first impact energy absorber 2 and the second impact energy absorber 4 are arranged in such a manner that axial directions of the first impact energy absorber 2 and of the second impact energy absorber 4 are substantially parallel to the input direction 7 of an impact load.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
