PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for preventing feeding damage which contribute to a fundamental solution of feeding damage by grass-eating animals such as deer.;SOLUTION: The feeding damage preventing device includes: a perforated plate 1 arranged so that it may cover the ground surface; spacers 2 for separating the perforated plate 1 from the ground surface and for forming a plant growing space S between the perforated plate 1 and the ground surface; and a load scattering material 3 arranged on the ground surface, is bonded to or connected with the spacers 2 and prevents the spacers 2 from sinking into the ground, so that plants having grown in the plant growing space S can get long through holes 1a in the perforated plate 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
