PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating, with certainty and with an extremely high sensitivity, white root rot control activity that soil possesses by a simple method which is practicable even in a cultivation site of fruit trees.;SOLUTION: A method for evaluating white root rot control activity that soil possesses includes: (A) subjecting only a part of the bacterial colonies concerned to extermination in a wood chip covered by Rosellinia necatrix colonies; (B) contacting both of the killed and surviving bacterial colonies with soil to be evaluated and culturing it; (C) measuring the killed region on the wood chip; and (D) then evaluating the white root rot control activity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
