PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle for assisting in ascending and descending stairs capable of being installed in a general house of a person for whom it is difficult to bend and unbend his/her knees.;SOLUTION: The vehicle for assisting in ascending and descending stairs includes: a foot stool 10 and a foot stool control lever 2 at a boarding cage 1 on which a person is to board; casters 8 at an upper part of a back surface of the boarding cage 1; geared motors; an inclination sensor for detecting levelness of the boarding cage 1; multiple rollers for freely rotating provided at a boarding cage support table 3; a wire winding drum and a boarding cage moving gear for moving the boarding cage 1 placed thereon from side to side and automatically adjusting the center of gravity; two wheels with flanges having tooth form for moving the boarding cage 1 and a suspending machine; a sensor box for sensing a stop position and automatically switching a moving direction; a battery; an electronic circuit board for controlling movement; and a rail having tooth form to be laid on stairs and two rails to be laid on flat places.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
