PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for detecting a biological molecule associated with enzyme activity in a sample.;SOLUTION: The method for detecting the biological molecule associated with at least one activity of an enzyme 12 in the sample includes: a step of combining at least one enzyme 12 to react with at least one substrate 10 under conditions which allow for the enzyme 12 to react with the substrate 10; a step of providing a partitioning element 3 for partitioning the biological molecule thereinto; and a step of detecting a fluorescence of the biological molecule in the partitioning element 3. The method includes the detected fluorescence to indicate the enzyme activity in the sample. An optical probe 2 for detecting the fluorescence of the molecule includes: an optical waveguide; the partitioning element 3 disposed on one end of the optical waveguide, wherein the molecule is selectively partitioned into the partitioning element 3 and the fluorescence of the molecule is coupled into the waveguide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
