PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic strengthening structure and a seismic strengthening method by such an anchor combination-type new foundation as to prevent an existing foundation from being excessively lifted by a pull-out force during earthquakes.;SOLUTION: A new foundation 7 is provided adjacently to an existing foundation 2. The new foundation 7 and the existing foundation 2 are not coupled and integrated together by an anchor for anchoring the new foundation 7, which comprises a cotter 8 for holding a part of an upper end of the existing foundation 2, in bearing ground.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
