摘要

This paper deals with the effect of concretestrength on seismic diagnosis and seismic strengthening ofexisting reinforced concrete buildings. The relationship betweenconcrete strength and bearing capacity, shear safety factor,ductility index of structural members were investigated.Furthermore, the relationship between concrete strength and thestructural seismic index for several typical buildings wereinvestigated. It was found that the effect of concrete strength isremarkable for buildings with columns mainly in shear failure,or buildings with weak beam-column joints, at evaluating theseismic capacity of existing reinforced concrete buildings. Forretrofitting existing reinforced concrete buildings, the influenceof concrete strength on the pull-out strength and shear strengthof post-installed anchor is conspicuously. As a result, it is veryimportant to determine the concrete strength correctly forseismic diagnosis and seismic strengthening.
