PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a potential crack during operation of a turbomachine.;SOLUTION: A method of detecting a potential crack on a blade of a compressor section of the turbomachine provides real-time monitoring of the compressor section 105 to determine the possibility of a crack forming on the blade 110, 115. The present invention does not require the shutdown of the machine 100.
