Bilingual controller for automatic external defibrillator

A language controller (20) that can be installed on the front of the AED to establish an automatic external defibrillator (AED) user interface is described. The language controller is in the form of a labeled plaque that tells the user how many words are currently being used. The plaque can also include a language button (222) that can be switched from one language to another. A memory is also present in the plaque and provides language data to the AED.
