STAM1 knockout senescence-accelerated mouse model

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide senescence models of a nonhuman animal and a cell being usable for screening of curative medicines and diagnostic agents and senescence research.;SOLUTION: A knockout mouse of STAM1 gene that shows symptoms like the osteoporosis is minutely analyzed and it is clarified that, besides the osseous anomaly, the knockout mouse has various aging-related symptoms such as the thymic atrophy. Consequently, the STAM1 knockout mouse and STAM1 expression control cell are provided as the senescence models for use in the screening of the curative medicines and diagnostic agents and senescence research.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
