PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nerve cell having excellent safety including the rapid differentiation of a stem cell into a nerve cell using a medicinal agent.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a method for producing a nerve cell, wherein the differentiation of an embryoid into a nerve cell is promoted by bringing the embryoid into contact with a sulfation inhibitor and inhibiting the sulfation of sugar chain in the embryoid.
