PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the compression strength of cement mortar with high precision by simple operation. PSOLUTION: The method for estimating the compression strength of the cement mortar is composed of a sample forming method, a hydration ratio calculation process and a compression strength estimation process. The hydration ratio calculation process contains even a method for estimating the compression strength of the cement mortar for calculating the hydration ratio of hydraulic particles by substituting the area ratio of non-hydrated hydraulic particles, which is calculated from the reflected electron image of a cement paste cured body, for the following formula: RSBt/SB=ä1-(SSBi/SB-SSBt/SB)/SSBi/SB}100 wherein RSBt/SBis the hydration ratio (%) of the hydraulic particles of a material age t-th day and SSBi/SBis the area ratio (%) of the non-hydrated hydraulic particles the hydration ratio of which is zero, SSBt/SBis the area ratio (%) of the non-hydrated hydraulic particles of the material age t-th day.
