PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide excellent in solubility in an organic solvent; a dianhydride compound which is a monomer thereof; and a manufacturing method therefor.;SOLUTION: There are provided the dianhydride compound represented by formula [1] (wherein R represents a 1-20C alkyl group); the manufacturing method therefor; and the polyimide.
