PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure for nuclear fuel storage racks and a method of connecting nuclear fuel storage racks, which allow easy and efficient connection between nuclear fuel storage racks stored in water in a storage pit.SOLUTION: In a connection structure 30 for nuclear fuel storage racks which connects a plurality of nuclear fuel storage racks A which have nuclear fuel assemblies stored therein and are stored in arrays in water in a storage pit 2, a part 31 to be engaged which has an engagement hole or an engagement groove opened at least upward is provided on the outer peripheral part side of each nuclear fuel storage rack A, and an engagement member 32 is inserted to the part 31 to be engaged in a vertical direction and is engaged with the part 31 to be engaged, whereby adjacent racks A are connected to each other. The part 31 to be engaged is provided on each of the adjacent racks A, and the engaging member 32 is provided so as to have one end side engaged with the part 31 to be engaged of one of the adjacent racks A and have the other end side engaged with the part 31 to be engaged of the other.
