PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To approximate the characteristic of a pressure sensor using a combination of as few approximate equations as possible, as well as suppress an error in the approximation.;SOLUTION: The present invention comprises: a characteristic measurement step of measuring correspondence between output voltage and pressure at prescribed intervals from a first pressure to a second pressure; a reference characteristic calculation step of calculating a reference characteristic linking a first point specified by the first pressure and an output voltage corresponding thereto and a second point specified by the second pressure and an output voltage corresponding thereto; a deviation calculation step of calculating a deviation in pressure from the calculated reference characteristic at each output voltage in the measured correspondence; a boundary voltage calculation step of making a voltage for which the calculated deviation becomes maximum or minimum to be a boundary voltage; an approximate equation calculation step of calculating an approximate equation linking points at which the boundary voltages adjoin each other among the points specified by the calculated boundary voltage and a pressure corresponding to the boundary voltage in correspondence; and a storage step of storing the calculated approximate equation and the boundary voltage corresponding to the approximate equation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
