PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove haze of an image in high speed and high accuracy.SOLUTION: A haze removal image processing system includes: an airglow correction section 300 for correcting an input image by using a pixel value of airglow; a region calculation section 400 for calculating an appropriate region for determining a minimum pixel value, for target pixels of the input image; a minimum pixel value calculation section 500 for selecting the minimum pixel value in the calculated region in the input image corrected by airglow; a transmission factor calculation section 600 for calculating a transmission factor of the target pixels from the minimum pixel value; and a haze removal image generation section 700 for removing haze from the input image using the transmission factor.
