PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a screw type rotary penetration pile and a ground improvement pile, capable of surely obtaining bearing power by friction without disturbing ground.;SOLUTION: A screw type rotary penetration pile is comprised of a screw body 1 at the tip thereof, a tapered pile body 2 made of a steel pipe, and a connection ring body 3 for connecting the screw body 1 to the end of the pile body 2. The connection ring body 3 is a member for a coupler for coupling two steel pipes on the same axis line and consisting of a double cylinder in which an inner cylinder is positioned inside an outer cylinder, the outer cylinder being provided with a bolt hole directed to the center axis of the outer cylinder. The outer diameter of the maximum outer diameter part of the pile body 2 is configured to be larger than the diameter drawn by a trajectory of a screw head when the pile body 2 rotates.
