PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable proper evaluation of a shaft compression local buckling resistance of a steel pipeline having a weld joint part.;SOLUTION: In a buckling resistance evaluation method of a steel pipeline having a weld joint part, when a yield stress of a weld metal is defined as σ1, a yield stress of a piping matrix of the steel pipeline is defined as σ2, an extra-fill thickness in the weld joint part is defined as tw, and a thickness of the steel pipeline is defined as t, a value of a buckling resistance parameter M defined by the following equation: M=σ1/σ2(1+tw/t) is compared with a setting value Ma acquired for each aperture of the steel pipeline.
