PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint metal capable of absorbing energy by its plastic deformation and minimize breakage of a horizontal member and a structural material even when not only an excessive load but also an excessive bending moment is applied to a joint part between the horizontal member and the structural material.;SOLUTION: A joint metal 1 includes: a back plate 11 contacting with a lateral face of a structural material 2 and fixed to the structural material 2 by inserting bolts 41 into bolt holes; and lateral plates 12, 12 inserted into slits 31, 31 worked on the end face of a horizontal member 3, and fixed to the lateral plates 12, 12 by inserting drift pins 5 through pin holes after positioning the drift pins 5 passed through the horizontal member 3 in advance at pin receiving grooves. Vertical slits 12c, 12d, each of which is positioned between the back plate 11 and the pin receiving grooves or the pin holes, is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the back plate 11, and has an opening part at one end and a closed end at the other end, are formed in each of the lateral plates 12, 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
