PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect a peak corresponding to a density distribution of a molten iron, from a density histogram of a thermal image of a tapping flow.;SOLUTION: A slag maximum density 402 in a density histogram 400 of a thermal image of a tapping flow is multiplied by upper and lower limits of a ratio of a density of a molten iron distribution peak 403 to the slag maximum density 402 to set a molten iron distribution peak research range 401. A density within the molten iron distribution peak research range 401 at which a pixel number is the maximum is derived as a density of the molten iron distribution peak 403, from which the temperature of a molten iron is calculated in accordance with a radiant temperature measuring principle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
