PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve execution of work efficiently and inexpensively by performing filling work once enough for back filling material to a tail board while preventing a collapse of an outbreak section in excavating a curve section using a soil pressure shield machine. PSOLUTION: In excavating a sharp curve section using the soil pressure shield machine 1, mud added material 16 is injected into the outbreak section 14 and pressurized, filled and held to prevent a collapse of the outbreak section 14. After segments 8 are assembled, the tail board 17 is filled with quick hardening back filling material 18 formed of urethane foam. The filling pressure Ps of the quick hardening back filling material 18 starts with the same value as the retaining pressure (PoPyPu) of the outbreak section 14, and when a measured value of a second B pressure gauge 223 reaches an upper limit value Pt or more, filling work is stopped.
