PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation method, a calculation device and a calculation program for predicting the settlement of an object surrounded with a viscous material, which enable the settlement behavior of the object surrounded with the viscous material to be more accurately and easily predicted and calculated, and to provided a computer readable recording medium.;SOLUTION: The calculation method for predicting the settlement of an object surrounded with a viscous material comprises: a step 1 of regarding a viscous material as a viscous fluid and setting the settlement force of the object; a step 2 of setting the settlement velocity of the object to be a temporary settlement velocity and calculating the viscous flow velocity of the viscous fluid around the object and resistance force acting on the surface of the object; a step 3 (a step 4) of setting the temporary settlement velocity a little smaller (larger) when the resistance force is larger (smaller) than the set settlement force and calculating the resistance force; and a step 5 of repeating the step 3 and the step 4 and stopping the calculation when the integrated value of the resistance force converges in an error range and obtaining a temporary settlement velocity found when the calculation is stopped as a settlement velocity value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
