PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiler water treatment agent, which is highly safe to humans and the environment and is excellent in corrosion prevention effect, and a method for preventing corrosion of a boiler using the same.;SOLUTION: (1) The boiler water treatment agent comprises substantially only succinic acid and/or a salt thereof as a corrosion inhibitor.
