PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and positively determine the abnormality of gypsum formation process in a wet type flue gas desulfurization apparatus without the need of a plurality of operational status signals, coal properties, a plurality of computers, frequent analysis of coal properties and the like.;SOLUTION: At an absorption tower 1 of a wet type flue gas desulfurization apparatus 0, a gypsum-containing slurry C is formed by absorbing and removing sulfur oxide contained in flue gas B by gas-liquid contact operation. In the process of solid-liquid separation by a vacuum suction type gypsum dehydrator 8 which separates water from the gypsum-containing slurry C formed by causing vacuum force to act on a vacuum part 17, the abnormality of the gypsum formation process is determined by the decline of gauge pressure of the vacuum part 17 to -0.06 MPaG or lower.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
