In addition to water and organic solvents, a wide range of solvents can be gelled with a small amount of addition, and insoluble additives can be dispersed and gelled, and optically active molecules can be selectively gelled. A gelling agent that can be formed is provided. A dipeptide derivative represented by the formula (1) is used as an active ingredient of a gelling agent.
