Artificial redox enzymes and how to use them

Disclosed is an artificial oxidoreductase having a structure wherein a metal ion binds to a polypeptide having 6 to 13 amino acids. The polypeptide contains, as the constituting amino acids thereof, tyrosine and histidine. The histidine residue is present at a position other than the N-terminus of the aforesaid polypeptide.
