ARQ buffer management techniques advanced in a wireless communication system

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ARQ (Automatic Repeat reQuest) transmitter for use in a wireless communication system and method for its operation.;SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: determining unutilized capacity of an ARQ receiver buffer in an ARQ receiver; determining if the ARQ receiver buffer can support an ARQ block to be transmitted based on the determined unutilized capacity of the ARQ receiver buffer; and if it is determined that the ARQ receiver buffer can support the ARQ block to be transmitted, transmitting the ARQ block to the ARQ receiver.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
