PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical grinder which grinds both coal and biomass, efficiently grinds the biomass and is economically operated.;SOLUTION: The vertical grinder includes a contraction flow area 16 which is formed between a housing 1 and a cone-shaped hopper 11.
