The invention relates to a voltage-controlled method for electrowinning high-quality copper for low-temperature solutions with a low copper concentration, with application of alternating current, which reduces the ferric ion and reduces copper in cathode circuits and oxidises iron in anode circuits, with low energy consumption, without producing acid mist and without requiring a previous step of solvent extraction in order to concentrate and purify the electrolyte.
