A large ocean going cargo ship (1) with a hull (2), an engine room (3) located inside the hull (2), and a large multi-cylinder ( 4) received self-igniting in the engine nternal combustion room (3). The large engine multicylinder self-igniting internal combustion engine (4) is provided with a fuel injection system for delivering fuel to the cylinders. The cargo ship (1) is provided with a crude oil fuel supply system that supplies the fuel injection system with fuel in the form of crude oil. The fuel supply system comprising a crude oil bunker tank (10), a crude oil settling tank (15), a purifier (19), a day tank (25), and double walled piping (57,58,59) connecting the crude oil bunker tank (10) to the crude oil settling tank (15), connecting the crude oil settling tank (15) to said purifier (19}, and connecting the purifier (19) to the crude oil day tank (25).
