This invention relates to a method of treating a subject suffering from multiple sclerosis or exhibiting signs of a clinically isolated syndrome, comprising administering to the subject laechinimus as an adjunct therapy to fingolimod or in combination with it. The invention also relates to a kit and a pharmaceutical composition comprising lachinimide and fingolimod for the treatment of a subject suffering from multiple sclerosis or showing signs of a clinically isolated syndrome. This invention also relates to lachinimode for use as an additional therapy or in combination with fingolimod in the treatment of a subject suffering from multiple sclerosis or showing signs of a clinically isolated syndrome. This invention also relates to the use of lachinimod and fingolimod in the preparation of a combination for treating a subject suffering from multiple sclerosis or exhibiting signs of a clinically isolated syndrome.
