The present invention relates to methods for treating HCV without the use of interferon. Preferably, the treatment is carried out in a shorter period, for example, not more than 12 weeks. In one aspect, treatment methods include administering at least two direct-acting antiviral agents and ribavirin to a HCV infected subject. For example, treatment methods include administering to the subject an effective amount of therapeutic agent 1, therapeutic agent 2 (or therapeutic agent 3), a cytochrome P450 inhibitor (e.g., ritonavir), and ribavirin.
