During the process of generating luminous radiation the influence of the temperature of the light-emitting diode (1) on the intensity of this luminous radiation is eliminated, thus maintaining its constant intensity. The invention also relates to the circuit arrangement of the light-emitting diode (1), in which the anode of the light-emitting diode (1) is connected to the outlet of an operational amplifier (2) and the cathode of the light-emitting diode (1) is via the series resistor (R3) connected to the negative pole of the power supply, whereby to the light-emitting diode (1) there are connected in parallel a first resistor (R1), which is connected between the anode of the light-emitting diode (1) and the negative inlet of the operational amplifier (2), and a second resistor (R2) , which is connected between the cathode of the light-emitting diode (1) and the negative inlet of the operational amplifier (2),, and where the positive inlet of the operational amplifier (2) is connected to the voltage (Ui) for setting the operating point of the radiation source.
