摘要
Described is the process for generating a mixture of polymers polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyphenylene terephthalate (PET) with a clay modified with the monochlorhydrate of the L-lysine amino acid, in a single-screw extruder with a head-mixer with ultrasound coupled thereto. The effect of a plurality of different ultrasound frequencies over the transesterification reaction of a PET-PEN-clay mixture, shows that the transesterification reaction is performed four folds faster than that performed with the process without ultrasound. The percentage of transesterification and degree of randomness are substantially modified with the presence of ultrasound and modified clay in the compound. The transesterification reaction allows smaller extrusion equipment to be used upon being faster, and/or producing more mass flow, where the residence time is drastically reduced. The invention may be used in the containers industry of carbonated beverages, bear, wine, tea, and coffee, also being used in canning and packaging food.
