The floor base structure (200) has a support element (100), at which the foot holders are fixed by an adjustment unit, where the support element is fixed at car body shell of the rail vehicle. The floor base panels (210) are supported on the projection surfaces (115). The support element is covered with other floor base panels (220) which are arranged between former floor base panels. The latter floor base panels are spaced from each other in the longitudinal direction of the rail vehicle and allow an access to the support element for fastening the foot holders to the support element. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a support element with a cable channel; (2) a rail vehicle car with a seat layout; and (3) a method for mounting a floor base structure of a rail vehicle car.
