The present invention relates to the determination of the potential of biosorption of dyestuffs and their biodegradation through the use of a process of inhibition of the microbiological activity of biosurfactants for the evaluation of the susceptibility of dyestuffs to biodegradation by biological means. DISCLOSURE IS NECESSARY TO DISTINGUISH THE BIOCHASTIC PROCESS OF DECOLORATION OF THE ABIOTIC DISCHARGE PROCESS (ADMORTION TO THE BIOMASS, FOR EXAMPLE) AND IN THIS INVENTION THE ABIOTIC TEST IS CHARACTERIZED BY USING AUTOCLAVED BIOMASS, IN THE ABSENCE OF CARBON SOURCE, IN A MEDIUM CONTAINING A MIX OF SODIUM AZID AND DICUMAROL, WHICH GUARANTEES THE INHIBITION OF THE BIOLOGICAL REACTION OF DECOLORATION. MEASUREMENT OF AZO REDUCTION OF DYE COLORS USES AS A BIOMASS, FOR EXAMPLE, ANAEROBIOSE ACTIVATED PLAINS, IN THE PRESENCE OF A SOURCE OF CARBON, NUTRIENTS AND AZO DYE IN STUDY. THIS INVENTION MAY APPLY TO THE EVALUATION OF THE POTENTIAL OF ANY ORGANIC COMPOUND TO BE REDUCED OR OXIDIZED IN THE PRESENCE OF BIOMASS, ALLOWING TO ASSESS THE ENVIRONMENTAL RISK OF DYES AND OTHER INDUSTRIAL CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES.
