The invention relates to a flexible and reconfigurable portable laboratory for mechatronic education and training, meant for every stage of the educational process and for professional training and reconversion activities, intended to operate in both virtual and real environment. According to the invention, the laboratory consists of a portable platform (1) on which a voltage source (2), a parallel planar robot (3), an intelligent parallel-displacement unit (4) and a base plate (5) with microcontroller representing the interface between the experiment modules and a computer (6) are fixed, the parallel-planar robot (3) being based on a pentalateral mechanism with rotation couplings, some leading elements (7 and 10) being independently driven by some D. C. motors (11 and 12) including some speed reduction units and some position sensors, where the pentalateral mechanism may be reconfigured as a quadrilateral mechanism or as an adjustable-oscillation mechanism, some characteristic points (B, C and D) generating a broad range of geometrical figures or paths, the intelligent parallel-displacement unit consisting of a linear electromagnetic actuator (19) with mobile inductor, a position transducer (20), a speed transducer (21) and a current transducer (22), the unit operation program being installed in the computer (6) or in a microcontroller (40), the base plate (5) including the microcontroller (40), a motor driver (41), a sensor interface (42) and an interface (43) for the connection to a port (44) of the computer (6).
