TECHNIQUE FOR ILEOTRANSVERSOANASTOMOSIS FOLLOWING RIGHT-SIDED HEMICOLECTOMY FOR ACUTELY BLEEDING CANCER OF RIGHT COLON

摘要

The technique for ileotransversoanastomosis following right-sided hemicolectomy for the acutely bleeding cancer of the right colon comprises approaching the ileum stump to the stump of the transverse colon, sewing these two stumps and fashioning ileotransversoanastomosis with handmade two-row suture. The stump of ileum is sewed to the stump of the transverse colon in isoperistalsis mode. The uninterrupted serous-muscular sutures are applied without closed ends. Ileotransversoanastomosis is fashioned with the aid of linear suturing device. The double row of the titanium staples is located at the distance of 1.5 cm from serous-muscular sutures generating the valvular mechanism due to the descending lips of anastomosis. The line of the staple suture is covered with the uninterrupted serous-muscular suture.
