METHOD OF DIAGNOSIS OF PATHOLOGICAL CHANGES OF THE PANCREAS WITH CONGENITAL HYPOTHYROIDISM

Method of diagnosis of pathological changes of the pancreas with congenital hypothyroidism involves the lectin histochemical studies. The carbohydrate specificity of the exocrine and endocrine parts of the pancreas, the apical and basal parts of acinar cells, and the blood capillaries (WGA - (-NAcDGlc, NacNeu; PNA - (-D-Gal; LCA - (-D-Man) are determined. The (-NAcDGlc, NacNeu, (-D-Gal, (-D-Man exhibiting carbohydrate determinants in hypothyroid animals in the age aspect are identified. Then compared with controls and in case of change of parameters the pathological changes of the pancreas with congenital hypothyroidism is diagnosticated.
