METHOD FOR OPTIMIZATION OF LABOR PAIN RELIEF

The method for the optimization of the labor pain relief comprises electric neurostimulation. The pain thresholds are measured by the metered stimulation of the skin of index and middle fingers with the pulse current at the frequency within the range of 50-100 Hz. The first sensation of pain (FS) and maximally acceptable sensation as the pain threshold (PT) are measured, and F is calculated according to the following formula: F = FS + PT / 2 wherein F is a function of the probability of positive labor pain relief by acupuncture.
