METHOD FOR PREDICTING EFFICACY OF COMBINED TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH RECTAL CANCER BASED ON ACCOUNTING FOR SUPEROXIDE-GENERATING ACTIVITY OF NEUTROPHILIC GRANULOCYTES

The method for predicting the efficacy of the combined treatment of the patients with rectal cancer comprises the assessment of the organic transformation in the body. The neutrophilic granulocytes are isolated from the venous bloos following the last fraction of the neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. In the isolated cells, the rate of the generation of superoxide radicals by NADP·H-oxidase is measured. The rate below 0.31 nM/105 cell·min is considered as a favorable prognostic factor of survival of the patients with high level of tumor chenmoradiosensitivity. The rate exceeding such value is considered as a negative prognostic factor of survival.
