The invention relates to a refractory powder materials industry, specifically to powders for plasma spraying. The method of manufacturing the electro-fused powder of stabilized zirconia for plasma spraying includes mixing of zirconium dioxide powder and stabilizing additive, mixture melting, electro-fused material shredding, its plansifter, purification against iron, which is carried out by treatment with electro-fused material with an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid with a density 1,14-1,16 g/cm, hydroclassification, which is carried out in 4-5 stages, at the last stage of the hydra classification 0.1-0.3% polyethylene glycol dispersing additive is introduced, selected fraction of electro-fused powder is further drying at the temperature of 100-120 °C to a residual moisture, which does not exceed the 0.1-0.2%. The use of the invention provides creation an electro-fused powder of stabilized zirconium dioxide for plasma spraying with high fluidity and obtain of the dense coatings with high adhesion strength.
