A method for diagnosing early onset bronchial asthma control level in school-age children by assessing the clinical and medical history characteristics and examination of spirographic indicators. The asthma controllability coefficient is determined as the ratio of the bronchial lability which characterizes the bronchi hyperresistivity, to the amount of points according to "AST test" questionnaire. With the asthma controllability coefficient equal to 0.3 c.u. and less, the controlled course of the disease is verified. If the controllability coefficient is 0.7 c.u. and more, the uncontrollable variant of asthma is diagnose, and the background prophylactic therapy is optimized accordingly.
