METHOD OF FORMING UMBILICAL CORD AND RINGS AT SURGICAL CORRECTION OF OMPHALOCELE IN NEWBORN

A method of forming umbilical cord and omphalocele rings in newborn includes surgery. The umblical cord is formed from 3 pre-selected vessels and urachus along which 2-3 mm of primary peritoneal remains, except for centrally located vessel, for which up to 1 cm remains, which are pulled together into a bundle, turn left on the primary peritoneum centrally located vessel and stapled with three atraumatic sutures, and a distal portion of the umbilical cord is cut and ligated.
