A horizontal axis wind turbine (1), comprising: - a rotor (5) having a hub (7) and at least two or more blades (6); - a nacelle (3) for pivotally supporting the rotor (5) by means of a rotating shaft (4) - connected to the hub (7); - a tower (2) to support the nacelle (3), and - an independent tilt control unit (12), capable of independently controlling the tilt angles of the blades (6), respectively, - in which the independent tilt control unit (12) controls the tilt angles so that all the blades (6) are brought to a position of least opposition to the wind in case of a wind speed not less than a predetermined value, and then controls the angles of inclination of the individual blades (6) so that they are sequentially inverted one by one, so that all the blades (6) are brought to a position of minimum opposition to the wind inverting all the blades, and then also, it controls so that the wind turbine (1) runs slowly in the position of opposition to the wind of all the inverted blades.
