Providing an electronic notification to an intended recipient (105) includescommunicating an electronic notification directed to an intended recipient,(105) determining a lifespan (130) related to a duration of relevance of theelectronic notification, and providing the electronic notification to theintended recipient (105) when the lifespan has not expired. The duration ofrelevance describes a time period during which information of the electronicnotification reasonably may be expected usefully to inform an action orinterest of the intended recipient (105). After the lifespan expires,provision of the electronic notification to the intended recipient (105) maybe prevented.
