The invention relates to a formulation for the production of a biocompatible,optionally bio-degradable, open-pored polyurethane foam which has open poresalso on the surface thereof without any mechanical post-treatment, i.e.has noskin, a polyurethane form of said variety and a method for the production anduse thereof. The invention also relates to a method for the production of acell carrier for for cell cultures, tissue cultures and for tissueengineering, using the formulation for the production of the open-poredpolyurethane foam, in addition to a cell carrier obtained by means of saidmethod.
